    Members of the One People Canoe Society lost several of their canoe paddles, along with other equipment, as they made their way to Wrangell to participate in the rededication of Chief Shakes House. The canoers ran into bad weather in the Seymour Canal area and were forced to move from the canoes to a larger vessel.     The Petersburg Police Department received a call from a concerned citizen Sunday, May 5 reporting a possible portable Methamphetamine lab.     The Petersburg Borough Assembly awarded four bids for projects taking place in the borough during its regular meeting Monday evening. The new library shelving procurement bid opening was completed Thursday, April 11 and three bids were received ranging from $168,803 to $179,000.
