    SEATTLE (AP) — A large, Seattle-based diversified seafood company says it has reached a preliminary agreement to acquire Snopac Products. Icicle Seafoods president and CEO Dennis Guhlke said Wednesday his company is excited about the agreement with Snopac, an independently owned and operated seafood processing company with operations in Alaska and Seattle.     Ronald Bruce Simpson, 74, lost his battle with cancer on December 24, 2011. Ron was born on August 4, 1937, in Cashmere, Wash. to Orwan and Barbara Simpson. Ron’s very early years were spent in the Cashmere area. In 1943 the family moved to Anchorage, where Orwan, Ron’s father found work. In 1948 the family moved back to Cashmere, as Ron’s sister Sondra needed medical attention. The family resided there through Ron’s school years.     The PHS Tsunami Bowl team heads to Juneau this weekend to scrimmage against the powerhouse Juneau-Douglas and Thunder Mountain teams. They’ll compete in head-to-head matches against the two teams, as well as meet with NOAA Fisheries staff and tour the DIPAC hatchery. “Our team learned a lot from our scrimmage against Juneau last year.
