The downtown road construction project has shut down for the winter but will have to finish Phase I of the project when work begins again in the Spring. The City of Petersburg has contracted with the Emergency Communications Network to provide emergency notification services. That is 44.14 percent of the registered voters in Alaska. The $2 million dollar deficit for the North Harbor Project causes issues with Petersburg's city council members.
