    Over the weekend, the Petersburg High School wrestling team took three students to the Anchorage Christian Schools meet. “Overall, it was a good tournament,” said head coach Daniel Van Swearingen. “A lot of match time for those guys, and it’s always fun to go up to Anchorage.” Kole Sperl and Adam Ware wrestled in the 160 pound weight class.     Five Petersburg High School swimmers traveled to Anchorage to compete in the state championships, three of whom made it to the individual final events. "It was good," said head coach Andy Carlisle. "It was better than expected. Usually it's hard for the kids to race at regions and then do state a week later."     At their second seeding tournament, the Petersburg varsity volleyball team beat four out of six teams over the weekend at home.     The Petersburg wrestling team took a hit at their third meet over the weekend in Metlakatla after half the team had to stay behind. “We didn't take very many people,” said head coach Daniel Van Swearingen. “Sickness and injuries plagued us.” Fourteen wrestlers were supposed to go, but several of those that did participate scored well.     Five Petersburg High School swimmers will be competing in the state swim and dive meet this weekend in Anchorage after qualifying at the regional meet this past weekend at home.     Petersburg High School’s varsity volleyball team competed in its first seeding tournament winning four out of six games October 19-20. On Friday, Petersburg defeated both Skagway and Klawock.
