The Vikings had an outstanding weekend of boys basketball in Wrangell. Friday’s varsity game started with a first half where neither team really controlled the tempo of the game. Petersburg was ahead 11-8 at the end of the first period. Ketchikan hosted a basketball jamboree this weekend and the Petersburg Vikings gladly accepted their invitation to participate along with teams from Hydaburg and Prince Rupert. The PHS Tsunami Bowl team heads to Juneau this weekend to scrimmage against the powerhouse Juneau-Douglas and Thunder Mountain teams.
