Viking Swim Club (VSC) ended its season ended last weekend at the Junior Olympics meet in Anchorage. Swim clubs from across Alaska send their top swimmers to compete in this championship. Track and field kicked off their season in Ketchikan with an unusual meet last weekend. Petersburg Middle School girl's basketball team had an opportunity to participate in the Mike Jackson HoopTime Tournament March 23 to 26 in Juneau.Thirty-two teams played 98 games during the tournament. Last weekend Petersburg hosted their annual spring wrestling tournament with six visiting teams and over 150 wrestlers. Visiting teams included Craig, Wrangell, Ketchikan, Sitka, Juneau, Douglas, and Kake. There were over 750 matches, and these young grapplers gained some valuable wrestling experience.
