Color Splash Run to fund Klondike Road Relay

Amyee Peeler of Inga's Galley hosted the Color Splash Run Friday to help fund the Klondike Road Relay that will include runners Emil Rucker, Dana Christensen, Amyee Peeler, Erin Watkins, Joe Viechnicki, John Viechnicki, Monica Gross, Tess Abbott, Maria Wimmer and Carin Christensen this season.

The run began at Inga's Galley and went to Hungry Point Trail behind the ball fields and back to Inga's via Sandy Beach Road.

Each leg of the race was represented by a different color. The runners were splashed with colored powder as they went by.

The Klondike Road Relay is a 176.5 kilometer race divided into 10 legs of varying length. The race begins September 7 in Skagway, Alaska and ends in Whitehorse, Canada.

The end of this Color Splash Run was celebrated by the group of runners splashing color in the air to cover each of the competitors.
