April 25, 1914 – In the fall of 1913, Dr. Kirby of Chicago closed his banking establishment owing some $30,000 to the depositors. Recently and just before his death, he requested that his brain be examined to prove his contention that he was insane. According to his wish and immediately after his death, an examination was made which revealed a tumor at the base of the brain that accounts for the doctor's contention.
