The Alaska Native Brotherhood and Alaska Native Sisterhood hosted their first ever kiddie carnival on Saturday as a fundraiser for an upcoming event. At the carnival, children were able to buy tickets and participate in several activities such as a ping pong toss and balloon popping for prizes. When asked how many people participated, event coordinator Brenda Louise said, "I am guessing we had a couple of hundred that showed based on the revenue that we brought in." The organization will be hosting Grand Camp from Oct. 8-11, an annual convention where hundreds of ANB/ANS camp members come together for meetings and workshops and to choose new leadership.
