A case of head lice was reported at the elementary school last week.
“It is likely that this is an isolated incident,” Elementary School Principal Erica Kludt Painter said in a districtwide email.
Kludt Painter asked parents to do their part to prevent the spread of lice by checking their children daily for the next few weeks.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) head lice, “are found almost exclusively on the scalp, particularly around and behind the ears and near the neckline at the back of the head.”
