Obituary, James Merlyn Adams, 82

James Merlyn Adams, 82, died in Victorville, Calif. on February 6, 2015.

He was born in Agate, Wash. on Nov. 4, 1932.

Jim and his wife Dot moved from Centralia, Wash. to Petersburg, Alaska in 1968 with four daughters and twins on the way. Jim worked for Ray Olson and Reid Brothers and Dot worked at PFI and Sandy's Restaurant. Their children graduated from Petersburg High School. They were members of The Moose Lodge where he was famous for his Tom and Jerry's every New Year's Eve. They had many great friends in Petersburg.

He was preceded in death by his two wives, Dorothy Adams and Violet Adams; his father Elmer Adams (Charlotte); mother Ona Snelson Bernobich (Nick); and brothers Don Adams and David Adams.

He is survived by his sweetheart Doris Mohr; brothers Bill and Tom Adams; sister, Beverly Hicks ; step brothers Jack Burton (Judy), Chuck Burton; step sister Yvonne Dunkin; children: Sandy Little, Sheryl Briggs (Roy), Susan Adams, Mary Posey (Justin), Ron Adams and Renee Carson (Greg); 13 grandchildren: Jaime Powell, Mark Little (Jamie), Trevor Briggs, Amber Briggs, Kevin Briggs, Mary Simpson (Shannon), Robert O'Brien (Amber), Joshua Kitzmann, Michael Kitzmann (Stefanie), Ryan Carson, Chance Carson, Luke Carson and Samantha Adams; 20 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
