October 16, 1915 – The work of clearing a site for the electric plant power house was started yesterday morning.
The building is to be erected on the south thirty feet of what is known as the Kinch lot, on Main street extension, near the bridge. The purchase of the site from S. L. Hogue was authorized by vote of the council at an adjourned regular meeting held Thursday evening. The property costs the town fifty dollars.
