The Petersburg High School boys basketball team made the short trip south to Wrangell last weekend, but the result of the two-game set was not what Vikings fans wanted. It was homecoming weekend for Wrangell and the Wolves played tough, close games and beat the Vikings on Saturday.
Head coach Rick Brock said he knew the Vikings would be in for two tough games going into the weekend, and Friday's bout was a low scoring, make-every-possession-count contest. In the first quarter, Petersburg only managed to put up six points, but they held Wrangell to just four, setting the tone for the affair.
