April 27, 1917 Articles of incorporation have been drawn up for the Citizens’ Steam Laundry Company, a new enterprise which is expected to open for business by the middle of June. Martin Kildall is named as president of the company; Paul Lund, vice-president; John Bruce, secretary. The laundry is to occupy the Kildall building, to the rear of the Gauffin building. It is proposed to make a specialty of steamboat and family laundry work; also to have a cleaning and pressing department, and to furnish steam baths.
