On Tuesday, the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT) began chip seal road resurfacing on some Petersburg roads to fix cracks and provide a new road surface.
Crews are expected to work on Mitkof Highway from the ferry terminal in town to Papke’s Landing Rd., Haugen Dr. from the airport to 8th St, and the length of Scow Bay Loop. Rd. Work should be completed by the end of July.
