School year begins Monday with four new teachers

Rain is expected for the next week in Petersburg, along with the start of school. From elementary on up about 475 students will funnel into classrooms Monday morning.

The Petersburg High School and Mitkof Middle School will have a projected 148 and 97 students, respectively, said Principal Richard Dormer. The elementary school will enroll a projected 230.
