The Petersburg Cross Country teams placed at the top of the leader boards in the Klawock Invitational on Saturday.
The women's team took first place in Klawock, routing the competition by nearly 30 points. The men's team took second place after losing by three points to Ketchikan.
Sophomore Kole Sperl led the men's team by taking third place overall, notching a personal record of 18 minutes 42 seconds in the 3.1-mile race.
