June 14, 1918 Traveling salesmen visitors in town during the week included Oak Olson, Ben Delzelle, L.T. Jacobsen, and Sidney Jacobs, from Juneau; W.N. Wheeler, representing the “Nut House,” Seattle, and Emmet Harris, of Seattle, selling National cash registers. Mr. Harris, who was in westward towns last week, says the sockeye run started at the Copper River several weeks since, one catch of 16,000 fish having been brought to Cordova on May 31.
