Court house crack

On July 9, the court house was notified that a crack had appeared on the back of the building. The cause of the crack is still unknown, said clerk of court Rachel Newport. The owner of the building, Jesse Olson, doesn't live in Petersburg, but has been contacted and a repair is currently being planned, said Newport. Since the crack was first noticed, it has been getting larger and the lower, outer panel on the wall seems to be inching farther away from the building she said. That section of the parking lot has been closed off to prevent the paneling from falling on a resident or a vehicle.
