Rina Rose Lyle of Petersburg, center, became a United States citizen on Dec. 21 after taking the naturalization oath of allegiance in Anchorage before U.S. Magistrate Judge Matthew M. Scoble, right. Lyle came to America in 2006 with her two daughters from the Philippines. Her husband, Alec Lyle, was a U.S. citizen and was able to help her make the move through a family petition.
