January 3, 1919 One of the nicest social affairs of the season was the dance given on New Year’s Eve by the Moose at Sons of Norway Hall. The affair was in the order of a Hard Time Ball and everyone was dressed for the occasion. Those who were not so dressed were given a chance to explain their actions to the “Yustise Court” presided over by Dictator Jacob Otness. The music was peppy and up to the occasion and was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. John Otness. Exactly at 12 o’clock those present stood and sang the “Star Spangled Banner” as a welcome to the New Year.
