The Mitkof Middle School wrestling team went 57-37 at a tournament in Wrangell on Friday and Saturday with 53 of those victories coming by pin.
“We did exceptionally well,” said Coach Jeff Davidson. “I think the other teams were a little shell shocked.”
After the first day of the tournament when Petersburg went 28-16, some of the wrestlers got bumped up two or three weight classes in the second day of the tournament for better competition, said Davidson.
