Worhatch competed in the girls 9-10 age group and took first place in the 50 yard freestyle, second in the 100 yard butterfly and the 50 yard breaststroke and third in the 100 yard freestyle. Joekay competed in the boys 9-10 age group and took first place in the 100 yard butterfly and 100 yard freestyle, second in the 200 yard IM and 100 yard butterfly and third in the 500 yard freestyle.
The Viking Swim Club scored second place in Juneau this past weekend at the 2019 Southeast Championships behind the Glacier Swim Club of Juneau which has 10 times as many swimmers as Petersburg.
Brooklyn Whitethorn, Olivia Hinde, Lexie Tow and Abby Worhatch competed in the 200 yard freestyle relay in the 10 and under age group and came in first place. The group went on to come in second place in the 200 yard medley relay.
