Since she was 12 years old, Kara Newman has dreamed of living in Scandinavia and later this month, she will finally achieve that goal.
Newman, 15, said she wanted to go to Scandinavia to better understand the culture that she grew up in here in Petersburg, although; she won't be staying in Norway, but in Sweden. Newman said that by living in Sweden, she will be in the heart of the region, with Finland to the east and Norway to the west.
"I'm so excited to go," said Newman. "This has been my dream."
