The Petersburg High School wrestling team spent their weekend chopping wood to raise money for the rest of their season. They had originally planned on competing in the Haines Invitational over the weekend, but the travel costs were too expensive, according to Head Coach Tyler Thain. The team ended up selling 16 truck loads of wood and raised $4,800. Carol Jensen donated the logs from her yard and Reid Brothers Construction donated time and equipment to move the logs. The team will be chopping wood again Nov. 15 - 16 from 10 A.M.- 4 P.M. behind the community pool. This weekend, the wrestlers will be competing in Ketchikan.
