Vaccinations save lives

To the Editor:

Here is some important information that I have read about the vaccines that protect you against Covid-19:

If you get Covid-19, it could infect your whole body and you could be sick for more than a week. This viral infection may damage many vital organs in your body such as your lungs, heart, and brain. This damage will probably heal but it could also last a long time and be life changing. Covid-19 is much more likely to cause long term damage to your body than the vaccines will.

The vaccines, once they enter your body go to work immediately to activate your immune system to produce the antibodies that will protect you from the SARS-CoV-2 virus. After your immune system is activated, your body destroys the vaccine. No trace of the vaccine remains in your body after a short time. To-date, there is no proven causal effects of long-term injury or death from the vaccines. The mRNA vaccines do not change your DNA.

The efficacy rate varies among the different vaccines, but all have been shown to be highly effective at preventing Covid-19.

The more people are vaccinated, the faster we can get back to a life that is closer to the one we had before Covid-19. We can get back to doing all the things we love like hugging loved ones, gathering in groups, and travelling. The more people are vaccinated, the faster the economy will recover, and people can get back to work.

If enough people get vaccinated, we can save many American lives and millions of people will not be infected with the Covid-19 virus. Vaccines don’t save lives, vaccinations do.

Don’t take my word for this. Do your own research and hopefully you will find reliable information sources.
