The painting of the Fisk
This framed picture of the Fisk sculpture in front of the museum was recently donated to the Museum by Karla and Lee Corrao. The painting is one of a number of works by Virginia Eggert in the Museum's collections, including a work commissioned by Elsie Clausen of Sing Lee Alley. The artist was a Juneau resident in the 1970's. Though Virginia generally works in acrylics, this painting appears to have been done in watercolor. After studying art in Montana and Arizona, Ms. Eggert went on to teach art and television in Arizona, Florida and Texas. Now retired, she paints full-time....
