SAR and EMS helicopter drill

Search and Rescue and EMS held a training on July 12 at the Temsco hanger where they worked with Steve O'Brocta to review helicopter safety and how to transport people using a helicopter. O'Brocta discussed and trained attendees on safe ways to enter the helicopter and place injured people into the helicopter, how to communicate with the pilot, and procedures for takeoff and landing. He also recounted some of the emergency situations he has experienced to help familiarize responders with what they could expect during an operation.
