September 1, 1922 Opening a new market to Alaska salt herring, J. P. Todd, pioneer fish broker, recently sold 600 barrels of that product to a Siberian interest. The order came as a result of sample barrels which he sent into Siberia last year and the purchasers report that as soon as conditions become settled in that country, the demand for Alaskan salt herring will reach enormous proportions. The bill for the 600 barrels was paid in American money, spot cash.
