The Petersburg High School boys basketball team competed in the regional tournament last week, playing three games over four days.
Though the Vikings ultimately fell against Metlakatla in the championship game and against Wrangell in the runner up game, Petersburg booked its ticket to the state tournament through an at-large bid.
In their first game of the regional tournament, the Vikings beat Wrangell in a tight 32-31 victory.
