PHS cross country finish their season in stride

Petersburg High School's cross country team finished their season off strong at the state championships last weekend in Palmer.

With a third place podium finish for the boys as a team and high placing individual performances across the board for the girls, both squads of Petersburg runners have quite a few accomplishments to be proud of.

"I'm really proud, if I could describe them in one word I would just say tough. They were a tough group, they went out there every day and worked hard, they got out there and they pushed themselves during the race," said head coach Casey Gates.
