Petersburg Volunteer Fire Department decommissioned one of its fire engines on Thursday evening. Engine 5, a four-by-four fire engine built in 1991, is being removed from service and sent to another community in Southeast that has a great need for its capabilities, said Emergency Services Director Aaron Hankins during PVFD's "push-in" ceremony on Thursday evening.
