Petersburg High School's wrestling team took on some of the toughest competitors in Southeast Alaska during the regional tournament in Juneau last weekend.
With several of their opponents achieving high placements at state throughout the past few years, the PHS team rose to the occasion and met the challenge head on.
"The team felt ready, I think that they were ready to wrestle," said coach James Valentine.
"Overall, our team ended up exactly where we were expecting to end up over the regional tournament"
Petersburg had a series of consistent top placements across the board.
