Kathline "Kathy" Marie Randrup (formerly Strickland), age 67 of Petersburg Alaska went to be with her late husband David Randrup on January 24th 2024. Kathy was born a Petersburg resident in 1956 and resided there until she lost her fight to Alzheimer's. Kathy's passion was spending time with family which included her husband David Randrup, 5 children, and 11 grandchildren and If you could not find Kathy in town, she would either be at the family cabin chasing coho or moose hunting with close family and friends.
Kathy provided a strong influence within the community of Petersburg volunteering countless hours of community service to include coaching baseball and basketball. Kathy's positive influence and strong passion for her community earned her the Longevity of Service award in 2002.
Kathy was Grandmother, Mother, Sister, and Aunt whose contagious smile and laugh will be missed by all. She is survived by her 11 grandchildren and her 5 children Brent Heppe, Brandi Heppe, David Heppe, Dea Ayriss, and Jonathan Randrup, her mother Jeanette Strickland, Her Sibling John Hanson III, Brenda Norheim, Debbie Tams, Anna Strickland, Ralph Strickland and numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
A celebration of life will be held in the Summer
of 2024. The family is asking that in-lieu of flowers,
a donation be made to the Alzheimer's Association
to further Alzheimer's research.
