Rookie pitchers lead Vikings to fourth place finish at state championships

Petersburg High School's baseball team capped off a historic season last weekend, taking fourth place at the Alaska State Tournament in Wasilla.

After losing their first game against Kenai Central Kardinals, the Vikings fought through their loser's bracket games without taking another loss, with the team's freshman and sophomore pitchers stepping up to carry them to victory.
