Lansing Eide practices using sheers, often referred to as the Jaws of Life, to pry off the door of a vehicle.
On Saturday the 31st, a joint EMS/ Fire Branch drill on vehicle extrication took place at the baler facility. Using PVFD equipment and cars at the dump, the drill included vehicle stabilization, patient care and extrication to practice and prepare the participating volunteers -including new EMS/Fire recruits- for real life scenarios in Petersburg. The practice drill lasted nearly two hours in the pouring rain....
