October 17, 1924 – Local citizens have been busy with a view of getting a cold storage plant located at Petersburg. They have canvassed the situation with a view of getting signers on a prospectus and they report that the response was very encouraging. They also have been getting data on how many fish buyers might be secured to patronize a local plant, and estimates and costs for machinery and running the same. As soon as all the data will have been secured, it is the intention to call a general meeting for additional views of all of those interested and for appointment of a special committee...
