Growing up in Petersburg, Heather Conn remembers holding weekend school sessions inside a little schoolhouse her father built along the side of their home on Tango Street, with her brothers and kids from the neighborhood in attendance.
Conn wanted to be a school teacher her whole life and had even considered aiming for superintendent at some point.
