Petersburg's annual polar dip

Around 60 Petersburg residents lined the frosty finger at South Harbor's boat launch at noon on New Year's Day. They counted down and took the plunge. And while a few diehards took their time treading the frigid water, for the most part it was a mad scramble up the ramp and into the towels and warm vehicles waiting in the harbor parking lot.
