Cruising Sitka Spruce
Circa 1900, United States Forest Service employee Alice Stuart created The Alaska Calendar for Engagements and one of the photos she chose was "Cruising Sitka Spruce." The image depicts two gentlemen measuring and assessing the dimensions and bulk of a stand of Sitka Spruce trees.
